Who we are

This website is run by Ishaks Holdings Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”), NSW conveyancer licence 05003080, at 3 George St, North Strathfield NSW 2137. Questions about this policy go to info@ishaks.com.au.

What we collect

• Enquiry form: your name, email, phone number, state, what you need help with and anything you write in the message.
• Client forms: if we send you a link to our buyer or seller questions form, the answers you give. That can include names, dates of birth, contact details, the property and any mortgage, how you want to verify your identity and, where you choose to give them, bank account details and a tax file number. Those forms go to the Ishaks team handling your matter, and we use them to act on it. No analytics run on those pages.
• Calls and email: whatever you tell us when you phone or write.
• Calculators and glossary: nothing you type in is sent to us or stored. The figures stay in your browser.
• Site visits: like most websites, our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and running.
• How the site is used: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record which pages are visited, what people click (for example the phone number, a calculator or the enquiry form), roughly where visitors are, what device they use and how they move around the page. Details are under Cookies and analytics below.

Why

To reply to you, quote on your matter and, if you go ahead, act for you.

If you send the enquiry form, we also add your name and email to the Ishaks database, which we use for an occasional newsletter and announcements. Every message has an unsubscribe link, or you can email info@ishaks.com.au and we’ll take you off. We don’t sell or rent your information.

Who sees it

The Ishaks team members who handle enquiries and the matter itself. Nobody else, unless the law requires it or you ask us to share it, for example with your lender or the other side’s representative.

Visual Lab, the agency that built and looks after this website, can see form submissions and receives a copy of enquiries for the first few months so we can check they arrive. Visual Lab also manages the site’s Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity accounts for us and sees the usage reports.

Where it’s kept

Form submissions are received and stored by Netlify, which hosts this site, and forwarded to our business email. Netlify checks each submission for spam using Akismet. Both are based in the United States, so that information may be stored or processed overseas. Emails are kept in our business email account.

The fonts on this site load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page opens.

Usage data from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity is stored on their servers, which are mostly outside Australia.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses two analytics tools to show us what is useful and what isn’t, so we can improve it.

• Google Analytics counts visits and clicks: pages viewed, the phone and email links, calculator and glossary use, the enquiry form being sent, and the visitor’s approximate location, device and browser. It sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart.
• Microsoft Clarity records anonymous sessions: where people click, scroll and tap, shown as heat maps and replays. It also sets cookies. Anything typed into a form field is masked, so we can’t see it.

These tools don’t receive your name, email, phone number or the message from the enquiry form, and nothing typed into the calculators or the glossary is sent. We don’t use the data for advertising.

To opt out, you can block cookies in your browser settings, use a browser that blocks trackers, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab). Both providers explain how they handle data in their own policies: Google (opens in a new tab) and Microsoft (opens in a new tab).

Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to form submissions is limited to the people who need them. Please leave ID numbers, bank details and other sensitive information out of the enquiry form. Our client forms ask for these only where we need them to act for you.

How long

As long as we need it to work with you and meet our record-keeping obligations. After that we delete it.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you or correct it. You can also ask us to delete it, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it. Email info@ishaks.com.au and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Other sites

Links to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
